Yes, only a percentage of rapes lead to pregnancy. That doesn't mean that those should be allowed but women who have sex and make mistakes shouldn't.
People have sex.
Teens have sex.
Abstinence only education does not work.
Want to reduce the number of abortions?
- Mandatory comprehensive sex education for kids from the age of 12 onwards
- Access to birth control for the same age range.
Will it stop abortions happening? No, of course not. But it will help to reduce the number.
And we have to stop teaching kids that their bodies are dirty - especially the girls.
