with the dark arts or objects (seances, wejie (spell?) boards, whatever, even posessing objects representing things or people dedicated to the dark side gives it entrance.
And what he / she thinks is god enters in.
After a while the entity is in control and not the person.

That would be the onset of schizophrenia and the perfect time to seek urgent medical help.

The above is as common as belly buttons in places like India and Africa, but not in the much more enlightened West.

The "enlightenment" being of the scientific variety rather than the spiritual one.

All the above is relegated here to being mentally impaired.

And quite correctly too.

Your friend needs to renounce / break off every connection to what he has been involved with.

Yes and seek medical help.
