A Mystic Friend

I can never truly know what you experience, as you can never know what I experience, that is what life is. We all experience the so called world with our senses, and that is also the only thing we can ever know. The world as we know it and experience it is not the truth of what the world or cosmos truly is, there is a lot more going on than we could ever know, my world is different than yours, and everyone else's world is different than mine and yours. Its only by agreeing on what is out there that we all share the world, but we don't have to follow that conditioning, we can experience what truly is. When one truly experiences this truth, all questions are answered, not in a knowledgeable way, but in a inner recognition, that recognises itself, this what is known as Enlightenment.

I agree that experiencing the world is quite subjective to the observer. Experience by itself is very qualitative. Just like there is no measure of how beautiful a rose is, there is no measure of which or whose experience is the true experience. To understand truth , and by truth I mean the structure of the universe, our place in the universe, and answers to questions like "do supernatural powers exist?", one must look at it in a quantitative manner. A quantitative perspective is a hypothesis backed by observational or mathematical evidence. Truth cannot be based on an experience, I think it needs to be worked upon harder in a quantitative way.
Regarding enlightenment, its a name given (a misnomer) to one of the myriad of states the human brain can be. What a person claiming to be enlightened experiences need not be true, if his experience is true then the same needs to be quantifiable. If a person claims to have access to the supernatural, I think it should be just cake walk to provide a quantitative answer to the mysteries of the cosmos.

I guess its fine, but its sad to see already helpless people get carried away into a world of supernatural illusion.Ghosts, spirits, prophecies, rebirths , being taught that truth in anything written 3000 years or before etc.

Where people are encouraged to believe more in the supernatural god & prayers than to live a fuller life now.

A supernatural religion is as a matter of fact, opium for the masses.
Lets look at GOD as Rightful Action,Positive thinking, Living the moment, Compassion, Love, Nature, Family, Friends and all life around us. Such a GOD is not supernatural, but is as real as the feeling of being alive.
