With great power comes great responsibility, but if your power isn't so great, your responsibility isn't so great. I guess you could say that these companies may have made agreements with other countries, so they're responsible for that, but I'd say it's unwise to make agreements to help the economy of other countries while the economy of your own country is going downhill.
I don't think you realize just how wealthy you are.

You do have it in your power to support a policy which doesn't screw all the people in the world who are poorer than you.
