This universal Consciousness is what is experienced by the so called Enlightenment or Awakening experience. Its like a fish chasing the ocean, not realizing it is already in the ocean, and part of the ocean, so the same as we, we are the ocean, or Consciousness, we live in it, it lives in us, and all is one in IT.
Since we have evolved from this universe to survive in the same, the process of evolution will equip us to understand the truth. Language and machines also being evolution. Perhaps It may not be us, it could be some other species, or may be some other species has already done so!
Concerning universal consciousness, don’t you think a universal ecosystem is a more apt term for the same? Everything is someway inter connected in an ecosystem. Its more plausible for these interconnections to be on the lines of dependencies for survival than a single consciousness trying to do something. If it were so, its doing a very bad job and does not deserve the flattering attributes we often give it.Its not self aware and is powerless on how its existence unfolds through the laws of nature.
In this vastly interconnected world, there is a collective consciousness which represents ideologies, nations and communities, but this need not be confused with a supernatural universal consciousness.
Lets look at GOD as Rightful Action,Positive thinking, Living the moment, Compassion, Love, Nature, Family, Friends and all life around us. Such a GOD is not supernatural, but is as real as the feeling of being alive.
