Fuck platitudes. There is no script to life and some people don't move up as far as others. What is important is that everyone have the ability to pay their bills and have a decent education. An economically stable society and educated society is better for everyone no matter where they end up.

I get really upset with anyone who think for example an older person working as a fry cook is a loser because it is a teen or college student's job. Who the fuck is working at those places when the the kids are in school?

Lower pay does not mean unimportant.
