What is your Philosophy of Life ?
|
My philosophy of life is to try and fight my way through the dark and meaningless night I call life, because I've felt so horribly lost since I stopped believing in God.
So dramatic bennyboy. Oh why oh why did you do it? Perhaps just go back to believing if it means that much to you.
Khan I do not understand what you mean by "philosophy of life". Is that something like preset answers for every conceivable question? How would one come up with such a thing in advance of learning everything?
I meant that everybody has a philosophy of his/her life. They treat their lives as that thought or philosophy and strictly believe in it. M interested in your current views which you hold in your mind. Not what you have learned during the time.

Kama, artha, dharma, moksha. Virtue is everything. Not exalting the gifted prevents quarreling. Not collecting treasures prevents stealing. Not seeing desirable things prevents confusion of the heart. The wise therefore rule by emptying hearts and stuffing bellies, by weakening ambitions and strengthening bones. — Laozi, Ch. 3 RE: What is your Philosophy of Life ?

Eat, drink and be merry.
Because we all die before we expect to. If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.
I'm materialist atheist, so nothing has absolute value and everything is a pointless goalless random fluctuation. I have no soul and there is nothing after we die but those we leave behind. Based on this, I try to make the best of it. I am human, after all...
The purpose of my life is all about value:
Try to have a friend so important, so meaningful to you that you would not hesitate to die for them. Try to cultivate your own life in such a fashion that there is at least one person who would not hesitate to die for you. These need not be the same person. Boru
