An eternity in a Prison is worthless.
An eternity in a torture chamber inside a xtian church is certainly not of any value as well
The idea that one would be "happy"spending an eternity stroking the ego of a maniacal "god" - might be worth something for the "god" but is worthless to lesser folks.
Actually - the "idea" if a life after death - is not a clearly defined one in any of the Xtain religions. "Eternal rest grant unto him O lord - and let perpetual light shine upon him - may he rest in perpetual peace - Amen" does not sound to me like any after life coming - but is said at most xtian burials.
But then - the bible shows its problems when it describes the death of the mythical christ - that he DESCENDED into hell before rising. But - at the time of the supposed death - all of them were Jewish - and they don't believe in a hell.
One of the main problems with religion is that they contradict themselves all the time - and it is OBVIOUS - and they still do not admit it. IF a person is only responsible for their own actions (Free will implies they have to be actions - not something that NEVER happened but would have) - then the whole basis for needing to be saved DOES NOT EXIST - since the "sin" of "eve" never actually happened - we now KNOW that was a fairy tale.
