Sorry, but didn't you just say that torture and the death penalty are different? How can you advocate for a death penalty and in (very nearly) the same breath decry something you've just said is a death penalty. This is rather like being pro-water but anti- H2O.
I'm not sure how incarcerating someone until they die qualifies as a death penalty - they're going to die anyway (everyone does).
