UK. They were pretty much everywhere here too. Even amidst the rebellion going on around them.

I think, they were even more successful than the Beatles.

Actually, me and my friends faced kind of a dilemma when growing up. We hated disco, which was all the rage in the late 70ies. So we went back a decade and listened to music from the 60ies.

These songs are still my favorites, since I have a brother who's 15 years my senior. Even being a baby I couldn't escape the songs of the Who, the Stones and all the other groups rising and falling at that time.

That reminds me of a trip to France in 79. It was in the charts back then, together with "Does your mother know?"
