Why is it that gods who apparently appeared quite frequently in ancient times - did all sorts of miraculous things that we have NO non-religious source for - apparently never actually do anything in the manner of the times of ancient superstitious cave dwellers - and nomads - and fishermen who believed in sea monsters in the ocean near the ENDS of the earth.
THe same evidence you present is what YOU reject from other religions. Yet other religions have just as much evidence of their claims as you do -= and often have more. We can actually SEE the Sun god - virtually everyday. THe Egyptian Pharaoh gods are proven to exist - we have not only their remains - but those of their ancestors and children - and we have inscriptions and carvings on public monuments of their existence.
But there is ONE way you can prove your god - have it APPEAR as you claim it did 2000 years ago - and this time do it on TV so it can be seen around the world. Let it perform miracles that cannot be done by simple Magicians
You cannot claim a problem with free will because you claim it already did it once - so there should be no problem with it doing it again.
But the real question is - if ALL you accept is the New Testament - READ the New Testament. In it - it says that the way for a rich man to be saved - he should give all his money to the POOR. THEN have the christians of the world DO THAT - instead of giving to a religion. ANd if YOU cannot do that - then the words of your god are worthless anyway.
First off, I don't want to become an atheist because if it means I am going to become someone like you who attacks and insults other religious beliefs, I don't want it. I am happy enough being kind.
Secondly when Jesus does return the world will be ending, not sure that many people will be watching tv. Secondly your claim that we don't give is wrong. Are church has raised money for many causes.
I have a feeling that if you saw Jesus preform a miracle before your own eyes you would still claim he is false.
Then why are you an XTIAN ?- you can be kind and not believe in religion. I have had 18 foster children - HOW many have YOU had? Being kind is NOT an xtian trait - the overwhelming majority of criminals in US prisons are XTIANS - in a higher percentage than xtians exist outside prison. And non-believers make up a very small amount compared to their growing numbers in the real world. Being kind is actually somethng ALL humans can do.
An Xtian in an Atheist forum who cannot take criticism is not being logical or smart or even real. By definition - YOU are attacking OUR non-belief - but you do so without facts to back you up - and when we ask for facts - you BAWL away. Yet - when YOU talk about evolution - you ask for complete facts and proof to back us up -= and when we present the millions of actual supporting facts that supports evolution as true - and noting that the 10 Largest Xtian sects - all accept evolution - and they represent more than 75% of the xtians in the world. Think of it this way - WHAT PROOF WOULD YOU NEED TO ACCEPT THAT ALLAH is the True god AND ISLAM WAS THE TRUE RELIGION? - It would not be unsupported claims of followers of that religion - nor would it be simply quotes from the Koran. If that is all you need - you would already be a Muslim.
If you can get your jesus (That could not have actually been his name either) to appear - and perform miracles IN PERSON - in front of MULTITUDES of actual living people including me - I would have no possibility but to accept it - if it really was a miracle. If the world is ending -that is NOT what the bible says - it says he will usher in centuries of peace.
As far as churches - they spend most of their money on religion - not the poor. And that is NOT what your christ supposedly said you should do to be saved.
