First, I think it is inaccurate reporting that The Christian Faith is declining in number . Never before, have there been so many CHristian Missionaries active in the world , and that combined with TV Technological advances....the Christian message of the Gospel is reaching the far ends of the earth and has been translated into thousands of languages for all to hear and understand.
What I truly think is sad...is, the profound effect Humanisms philosophies and official affirmations are having on society today particularly desired moral relativism .
I also think it sad that so many are willing to suppress the truth and scientific evidence for God as personal theistic Creator / Designer so whatever chosen lifestyle can be lived out whether right, wrong, or dangerous. Youd be hardpressed to find a typical professed 'Atheist' wanting to open a book on the complexity of anything because it soon infers the intelligent design of systems whether biological or meta physical. In fact, any semblance of a Creator / intelligent design / Church / a cross on a building / the Bible / the discussion of Sin / the historical evidences for the New Testament including Christs life, death, and resurrection / fulfilled Prophecies amount to over 300 concerning Christs first coming / miracles / etc.... must be kept at great arm length due to the affront it is to the willful Ignorant among us so maximum personal autonomy can be maintained essentially making ONESELF his own 'god' instead of Gods rightful place in his/her life .
Those are some things that make me sad because it leads to a very regretful end of Ones life live for Self which is the Humanists creed based on the temporary .
