Watson -
I notice that you're a christian. I used to believe that Jesus existed, although I saw him as a very enlightened being and not the son of god, I could never understand why god would have a son, it has never made sense to me at all. I have a friend who I talked to about this years ago and he said something about "the word" (in the bible), and when I asked him if Jesus is an aspect of god he said yes (meaning that Jesus is the word). That makes sense to me in a way but I still can't see the need to have one. But I still believed that he existed. But I came across something that completely changed my mind about that, and it took me a while to come to terms with the idea that the biblical Jesus didn't exist. I can show you if you like. It was a shame, he seemed like a nice guy and the whole idea has a feelgood factor to it but I found myself going from believer in Jesus to nonbeliever in about 5 minutes (+ time for coming to terms with it and accepting it). I'd like to ask, if for whatever reason you stopped believing in Jesus, how much would that change anything else?
