MERGED: The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Part 1) & (Part 2)

Quick rundown of the corroborating evidence for the NT (there is absolutely none for the OT):

• Tacitus: 2nd century oblique reference to a "Christos" (messiah) revered by Christians who was crucified by Pilate.
  
• Seutonius: A "Chrestus" disrupted things in Rome circa 50 CE, not likely Jesus considering wrong name, wrong place and wrong time but that doesn't stop the apologists from padding the resume.
  
• Josephus: A laughable forgery with the TF, a paragraph where he breaks off from what he's talking about to quickly fire off all the beliefs Christians have in bullet point format only to strangely return to the topic he was discussing in the next paragraph.
  
• Josephus: A brief "Jamesian reference" where he says "Brother of Jesus, James". He later refers to this as Jesus Bar Damneus (son of Damneus), so not our boy.
  
• Talmud: Jewish writings contain a 4th century reference to A "Jesus" who was accused of sorcery in a 40 day trial. Curiously, there are no earlier references to Jesus in Jewish writings. You'd think he'd be worth a mention.
  
• Some alleged letters written by alleged Church Fathers which say a wild variety of things about Jesus (my favorite being that he was 50 at the crucifixion, placing his birthdate around 20 BCE.
