Given Zeus was written about so much, there's a very good chance some random named Zeus actually existed.

There are no census records from the first century AD in Palestine. There is no "report" from Pontius Pilate about the crucifixion. There is nothing but the ramblings of believers....edited by later generations of church "scholars" to suit doctrinal needs. I suggest you read Jesus Interrupted by Bart Ehrman.
