The Darwin Song Project brought together folk musicians who were tasked with the creation of new songs that had a "resonance and relevance to Charles Darwin".

It's not an entirely atheistic endeavour, but there are some interesting songs from it.

Mark Erelli studied evolutionary biology and is a "lapsed Catholic". Good songs.
