The Catholic church is a danger to individuals being exposed to their priests, but the Evangelicals are a danger to civilization, as there's a real chance of one of them becoming president of America and actively working towards Armageddon.
If we can make it ten more years, their power will be broken, as they depends so heavily on the Baby Boomer generational wave that is starting to crash against the rocky beach of mortality. Generation X is the ebb (really starting to take over the reigns in the next six or seven years) with Millenials being the next big wave.
The day of the Evangelicals being a powerful force in American politics is nearly done, they just don't know it yet.
