Really? because most of the outreach from Feminists I see and most new wave feminist literature is against this so called patriarchy in the west and that is there #1 priority, look at any of the famous feminists, especially from youtube, stuck on problems that don't even really exist, like sexism in gaming.
It's easy to dismiss sexism in gaming when most main characters are male and the vast majority of male characters have complex personalities and are not presented as drop dead gorgeous babes or princesses meant to be saved. Do yourself some research before bringing into the table empty concepts. I'm a male, and if videogames had most protagonist as females, and males were meant to be rescued, were mostly on secondary roles or were shown as hot people meant to have sex or to be just the husband/brother/son with no primary role, I'd be offended. This becomes worse when there are surveys that show 40% or more of the gaming population is female...
Have you ever tried to game as a female online? You should do that and see what kinds of hurtful bashful comments you may be exposed too just because you're gaming.
