To give absolutely zero regard to what your or anyone else's fairy tales say, and live my life how I see fit.

But you can't do that can you? You are limited at least by your income and station in life arent you? how is this true freedom? one could easily conclude your a slave to your station in life. So sure if you want to say you have the freedom to do whatever you want with in your soceitial station in life, I agree. If you want to pretend you have real freedom I'd tell you to grow up.
