Going to church for me, baptist at that, was all about socializing. Talking to your crush and making sure they saw you talking to someone else. Too much like high school, and I hated high school.
I haven't been to church in over a decade, but I imagine that the church I used to go to is still pumping out the same tired rhetoric and scare tactics. I don't miss it at all.
