Human rights are not my issue. But claims as ideas do not deserve blind value. But as far as Islam marrying off young girls would have existed in every polytheistic and monotheist religion in antiquity. The mortality rate was much higher then so the quicker a girl would give birth and the more they gave birth the more offspring the tribe would have.

I am quite sure if you were to go back through the histories of Asia and the Orient you would find the same types of arrangements between families.
But Islam to me is the biggest trouble maker as far as politics. It does not help however that Christians and Jews no matter how much they claim to be different, cant understand that religion is what causes human divisions. It is, as I have said countless times, a comic book gap filling reflection of our group survival as a species.
Christianity too if they had the power like Islam does they would too be killing people off needlessly. But christian crusades are over and are done with.
