We have our own voices to push humans to see those books for what they are. But banning them to me would be no less fascist than when the Taliban blew up the Buddhist statues.
You keep them around, not because you agree with it, you keep them around so you can use those same books to counter what they say. Really no different than the Holocaust Museum doesn't sensor the reality of what happened to Jews.
It is never good to bury history. You are doomed to repeat it if you don't remember it. Reality should never be sugar coated or swept under the rug.
Mien Kampf is still printed for historical reasons. It should not be used as a playbook though, but as a history as what bad logic and bigotry can lead to.
If you want to get them to stop, write them a PM I am sure they have a FB page. Even if they do not, they will be aware of those who find it objectionable. It will not allow the buyers to hide behind it even if they continue to print it.
B-But that book.... and it says its okay to abuse your kids and not to mention children died from it and Christian parents who used that book were jailed because they followed what was in it.
Yes I get that, but what are you going to do? Attitudes do not change well with sudden force. IE the pro sports players who supported the NFL player for hitting his kid with a switch. There are plenty of liberals who belt their kids or use tree switches to punish them. I don't think you can suddenly get millions of parents to suddenly stop.
You have people who grow up saying a good swat will keep a kid in their place, and you have others who say to never do it.
Most of both sides still agree that simply beating the shit out of a kid is not ok. I think if you do things right you don't ever have to do that. But I am not going to go on a killing spree to stop it either.
I certainly would not agree that religious based punishment as an excuse, even if it is a belt on the ass is a good excuse, just like I find dietary demands out of a holy book absurd.
Go after them if you wish, and you should for religious reasons, but a forceful sudden ban on this book simply will not work in reality. Call them out, but think long term. Humans unfortunately don't like sudden change.
