I think some of the larger cover, non pocketable, expensive editions of ASOIAF books run 600ish pages. Not sure, though.
That being said, I think as far as word count goes, they're much more than four times longer than animorphs.
I've not read animorphs, but I assume than a monthly young adult novella has to run about ~50,000 words. Asoiaf books average like 400,000 words iirc. So, like, eightish times longer?
Anyway, GRRM's books are also much more complex, dense and difficult to write.
