I've been to atheist/skeptic/humanist (why don't we have a cool string of letters like LGBT?) meetups, which are pretty cool. And there's a local group that does Sunday morning meets twice a month, with the goal of a sort of unchurch with TED talks instead of sermons. And that's pretty cool, too.
So picture this: Home fellowship groups. A dozen or more people gathered in someone's home, with a conversation-starter of some sort. Could be something interesting you read recently, or a study that's in the news, or a TED talk, or whatever. Just something to kick off conversation.
Plus BYO munchies & beer/wine, and just plain hanging out and talking.
What do you folks think? Would you be up for something like this in your area? Does it seem useful at all?
