Um no, if you want to do something for someone without asking for anything back, that is your choice as well. I only get pissed at people who expect it or assume that I should do it every 'single time. I don't preclude myself from being nice just to be nice. Just let me decide what I do if you ask. It is not about the money, it is about honesty and letting me decide when you ask.
