But... there are a lot of them, and the structure of priesthood celibacy and ceremony does have an effect. Just... I'd say it's blown out of proportion... but it's really the papal protection of pedophiliac actions that's really disgusting.
Yes, that's the biggest problem. The Papacy would have a lot more respect if they really brought the hammer down on pedophile priests. If the hand sins, cut it off. If you take that Jesus quote metaphorically, it's the same as saying one bad apple spoils the bunch.
