Why do we let these Islamofascists dictate on our actions and values in the West?
We have along history of provocative and challenging art that enhances our dialogue with the world of the mundane, profane, extraordinary and so on. We value our artists, even when they critique or comment upon our most cherished beliefs and our society. They challenge us and invite our reflection upon themes and zeitgeists. I don't always like art, but I would never try to censor or evade it.
Muslims are scared. They know that their religion doesn't do well in the harsh light of honest public scrutiny. Some want to cow us into fear with demands of Sharia justice and threats of senseless violence. We must not let them.
Publish cartoons, display the art, write the column inches and expose their intolerance for what it is.
