This is the point: All of the evidence available points to the guy being a christian, with some mental illness that caused him to do what he did. You, based on nothing at all, are asserting that he wasn't a christian, because... why? It's convenient for your position?
You're the one scrabbling for ad hoc rationalizations to cover for your argument, here. I'm basing my position based on the words of the person we're talking about, and the people closest to him. This is not a situation where both positions have equal weight.
