I just watched the Wonka Chocolate factory again, and thought of it while typing.
The self centered, mouthy kids got weeded out.

I suggest wising up, doing what they told you here, try being nice, thoughtful and silent about atheism or your mom's views.

It's a pride thing. It shows that I'm not ashamed of not being a Heterosexual. It has nothing to do with how I treat people.

Don't sacrifice who you are, just simply avoid the religion topic.
