Except my position has always been that you determine a christian based on actions(evidence) not words(claims). You should be familiar with that concept....

I don't care what your position on christianity is. Who are you? You're just person number eight million with an opinion on true christianity, but that doesn't mean anything. Why should I privilege yours over anyone else's? Over the opinion of the person we're talking about? There are christians in this subforum right now arguing both the action-based position you have, and a faith based alternative where actions don't enter into things at all; how do either side intend to demonstrate that their views match the actual intent of the god you claim is behind the religion? Don't use bible verses, though: Mr. Faith-Alone-Is-Salvation in the other thread has his own set, since the bible is such a very mutable book.

You think I'm just making things up as I go along? I'm not giving you opinions I'm telling you exactly what the Bible says, which is not open for interpretation, it means exactly what it says.

Lets use Joyce Meyer as an example, she claims to be a christian.

Did you know that the Bible is against women wearing men's clothing (pants)

Deuteronomy 22:5
A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this.

And before someone point out that "they make women's pants", you should know that when women started wearing pants, it was scandalous, It wasn't the bible that's changed, but us that's changed. If a man/woman walked around in their underwear back in the day, they would be thrown in a mental institution, but all of the sudden, it's normal at the beach.

Now, skirts are starting to be marketed towards men.
Women wear pants. Let Men wear skirts.

That's three strikes against Joyce, proving that she is in error, and if she be in error, what about her congregation? What does the Bible say about the blind leading the blind?

God will not judge you according to what your denomination says, he'll judge you based on what his word says. The reason these denominational churches won't teach the truth is because it's not popular, popularity = Money. Didn't Jesus start out with like 7000 disciples, but when he started to preach they all abandoned him save the 12?

Personally, I'm willing to take people at their word regarding the things they believe, rather than being so absurdly presumptuous as to pretend to know more about what they believe than they do.

Really? so you've never asked anyone to provide any evidence for their belief? You've never attempted to debate Biblical scriptures with someone that knows more about the Bible than you?

Besides, even if you're right and actions are important, those actions dictate the quality of one's religious conviction, not whether it exists or not. Someone who believes in the christian religion but doesn't execute on that consistently would be bad at being a christian, not not a christian at all. The world's worst soccer player is still a soccer player, he doesn't suddenly become not a soccer player just because he doesn't match up to some random guy's arbitrary and vaguely defined required level of skill to be a "true soccer player."
