Hi @Alex K and thanks for the welcome
Since your religion is science
what do you think of the idea of using science
to prove that spiritual healing is real, and can diagnose and cure
the cause of demonic illness in schizophrenic patients and other diseases.
do you think that would help bridge the gap
in understanding between religion and science?
Sources: "Glimpses of the Devil" by Scott Peck urging medical research
and development by studying deliverance therapy formally by scientific methods
"Healing" by Francis MacNutt (1999 edition cites a medical study on
rheumatoid arthritis where some of the healing could only be attributed
to the prayer methods that focus on identifying and forgiving conflicts
causing blockage to natural healing until forgiveness removes the obstructions)
are you open to this and curious what would be the impact on both
religion and science if things can actually be proven instead of relying on faith?

RE: your signature on Art and Science
I have a background in Art also.
The modern movements, pushing Art to be more collaborative
and involve the audience and participants in the Art, are more my style.
I'm a very "we" person, into inclusion, almost to a fault.
I write a lot of humor and music parodies
that are political statements in how the audiences are involved
and not just passive spectators.
the whole interaction is part of the art.
What kind of art do you like? what kind of humor?
If there are threads or links to what interests you,
please direct me there!
I think Artists can change the world by challenging
norms and rethinking barriers that separate us especially in the media,
writing and music especially. I believe in democraticizing media access
so everyone has access to education, training and resources technologically.

Hi @JesusHChrist
what makes you antitheist?
what is your biggest issue or pet peeve
you want to see changed or corrected with religious abuse?
As bad as religious abuse gets, I am even more horrified by
political abuse because that gets infiltrated into govt and made mandatory.
so political abuses by imposing political beliefs by law
are more dangerous and harder to correct if it depends on suing or reforming govt.
what are the key issues for you in this fight?

Why hold on to the religious baggage if you can just drop it altogether and come up with your own philosophy for life?
If I may ask?
And welcome.
Thanks @Nestor
I was minding my own business
but people's problems became mine.
Trying to sort out where these problems came from,
I ended up learning the Bible to resolve conflicts with Christians,
learning enough about Buddhism to work with my Mom and family,
and with political issues, I have to constantly apply Constitutional principles
to petition to redress grievances and defend one political belief
from another being imposed by partisan bullying by coercion or exclusion.
So I had to learn these terms to even explain
"what is wrong with this picture"
I about gave up when people couldn't tell they were imposing their own political beliefs. When you are so engrained with beliefs that you believe yours is right and the others in opposition are wrong and don't count, that isn't protecting beliefs equally.
I live in a historic district overrun and destroyed by political corruption of govt,
and abusing taxpayer dollars to destroy national history. so i learned the hard way that these battles are going on daily, and nobody is correcting the problems.
I had to learn where the conflicts were coming from, and what it takes to resolve them.
so I ended up learning where Christianity and Constitutional beliefs agree and where they differ, and also where political parties are pushing their beliefs as well.
what a mess.
yes I do wish I could retire from this planet and go live on the moon and get away from this lunacy. but there are no shortcuts, everyone has contributed to letting the messes of church and state get this far out of hand, so everyone has to help fix it.
oh well. at least the conflicts i studied over a 20 year period
inspired a bunch of political song parodies that capture the whole saga.
i have enough to produce 2 or 3 musical spoofs
so when I get tired of fighting these battles in real life,
i can just produce them as a spoof statement and present it on stage or film.
haven't given up yet, will try one more time to push
for a consensus process to resolve conflicts, and if people
just refuse to work together, then i can't do this by myself.
we'll see if people are ready to work together or just keep
making more war and more messes for the next generation to clean up.
getting too old for this!
