I can understand the emotion, anyone would feel the same way if it was their loved one. But not a fan of revenge. The courts will take care of him and it isn't like prison is a country club.

Well, see if he accepts that, that means he has no basis to claim his god belief is some sort of patent holder of all of human morality. It would take away his special privilege.
Mind you, I don't think Drich is a bad person at all, I simply think most humans don't understand where morality really comes from.
If humans didn't evolve to value the self we wouldn't avoid traffic when crossing the street. Humans however mistake their survival and fortune and compassion as coming from a book, or imaginary being. The truth is our good and bad behavior comes from us, inside us, not outside us.
I only wish more humans would face this reality rather than fear it.
