Nope, most humans would rather protect the idea of false comfort rather than face reality in order to deal with it better. Our species flawed perceptions make Kaleidoscope thinking unfortunately much easier for our species than actually testing to insure quality of data.

I made a response to this as well on my YouTube. Needless to say, if there was a hell, I think he should burn for at least 1,000 years. Too bad hell is fake though.

I can understand the emotion, anyone would feel the same way if it was their loved one. But not a fan of revenge. The courts will take care of him and it isn't like prison is a country club.

Well, see if he accepts that, that means he has no basis to claim his god belief is some sort of patent holder of all of human morality. It would take away his special privilege.

Mind you, I don't think Drich is a bad person at all, I simply think most humans don't understand where morality really comes from.

If humans didn't evolve to value the self we wouldn't avoid traffic when crossing the street. Humans however mistake their survival and fortune and compassion as coming from a book, or imaginary being. The truth is our good and bad behavior comes from us, inside us, not outside us.

I only wish more humans would face this reality rather than fear it.

Yea and? I have run into quite a few libertarian/republican gun totten atheists. "Atheist" is not a moral code or loyalty oath.

I have run into atheists who support Ayn Rand economics, which I despise. I have run into atheists who support Che and stupidly think you can rid a planet of 7 billion of the private sector. No fan of them either.

And while I do not expect all guns to disappear outright, I will go against any atheist who loves guns if they think our status qoe is acceptable. His calling himself an atheists does not make him moral, obviously.

Here's the thing, if it can be demonstrated that this was an act that was a result of his atheism, I will condemn him and acknowledge that anti-religion can cause one to act inappropriately.

Yes, he was an atheist and carried a gun. No one here has denied he didn''t believe in any type of supreme being.
