You still have to follow the oldl laws it was stated by jesus and yet people magically forget about that. And even forget how much of a psychopath god is in the OT.
I would compare this to laws on the books about the death penalty.
those laws can still be true and valid,
but if you live by the NT you stop yourself the minute you catch yourself committing murder in spirit, so you can check yourself at first sign of trouble, and prevent from this murder in the heart from becoming murder in physical action.
so if there is no murder and it can all be prevented,
then there is no need to carry out the death penalty.
that law still stands, but is prevented from being invoked
so we are freed from the burdens or penalties of laws
because we work to avoid the wrongs from occurring in the first place.
