They can't get away with it in the West, so they try it there. They are also using the tactic of framing equal rights activism as Western Imperialism, whilst encouraging attacks on homosexuals.

These are American Christians, trying to spread homophobia to an area where they know this will result in jail or worse for the victims. It is pretty disgusting, but I guess it's what Jesus would have wanted.
