Man, the 'violent video games causes violent people' thing has been debunked so many times, it's irrelevant. That kind of rhetoric only matters if politicians are spouting it. Every game journalism source (as in, IGN, Polygon, etc.) has led the crusade against that kind of sloppy, sensationalistic, illogical correlation = causation BS for nearly two decades. Anyone else in media going down that route is an idiot looking to scare blissfully unaware soccer moms.
As far as Hatred is concerned, it's quite literally a murder fest made by white supremacists. It's sole purpose is to glorify and revel in the slaughter of innocents. And not in an ironic way, which is designed to make the player question what they're doing and feel uneasy about it, like that infamous airport level in one of the Call of Duty games.
I'm against censorship, but Hatred isn't the hill to die on. It's trash. It's trash that deserves to fail in the marketplace, but trash nonetheless.
