I'd rather call it bigotry though we haven't got that kind of distinction in the German language. Well, yes, the word exists, but it's hardly used. It kind of got out of fashion at some time.
I'm using it here because it closes the semantic loopholes of muslims, for example, not being a race. And right now that kind of bigotry is most virulent in Europe as well as the USA. It certainly takes the driver's seat at present although the old targets are certainly not forgotten. Openly among certain hate groups and more subtile in certain tabloids painting black people as drug dealers and the usual stuff.
