I've seen both Poc. Lots of 'shocker' gore and sex stuff, not really any compelling story or meaning to either, though 120 Days of Sodom is supposedly a commentary on the awfulness of Fascist Italy (the four "protagonists" are self-labled Fascists in the film for Christ's sake), but it's nearly impossible to take seriously.
Cannibal Holocaust got in some trouble because it was said that in the film they actually used real animals in some of the animal sacrifice/hunting scenes, though I can't recall how that ended.
