How can fundamentalists not wake up?

I do not know if the snake handling was added, I've never heard it was, what version of the Bible do you have. I know a few things may have been introduced into the scriptures, it's all speculation we do not have the original writings so we can't know for sure they were or were not in the originals. Those few things that are disputed do not in any way change the message or meaning of the Bible, that is what's important. When I get the time and if my poor brain can remember I will investigate the snake handling, if I do not get back to you about it and you're really interested in this keep me reminded.

I just looked in an ESV Bible and it says in brackets in the text just before Mark 16:9
"[some of the earliest manuscripts do not include 16:9-20]"
Every bible I've seen includes a note on those verses, so probably yours does too.

I personally like snakes and do on occasion play with them, I'm however not stupid enough to play with venomous snakes, hold them securely yes, playing with death isn't a smart thing to do. I wasn't even think about the verses you stated, and yes most believe they were added, but like I say we do not know for sure those verses were not in the originals and later found their way back into copies.
