Hey Miles, this awesome all knowing god of yours, just before IT said let there be light, IT ran the scenario of Adam and Eve never eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil out to eternity, right?
We're talking god here, it would have no problem running both scenarios and then choose which scenario IT wanted to use.
So god chose this reality to use as ITs creation model.
This just shows how absurd it seems to take any culture's creation myth literally .. especially once that society has developed the means to make the printed word generally available and amassed a vast amount of empirical data by way of the scientific method. Fundamentalist Christians find the creation myths of other cultures charming but refuse to see their own in the same way. The results are always absurd.
