Pay him with Monopoly money, and when he objects, tell him that he doesn't need the evidence of his senses, because you have a "self authenticating witness of money," that tells you that it's actually real money, no matter the evidence. He just needs to stop using the magisterial use of reason with regards to the money, and start using the ministerial type of reason, where reason serves the preconceived conclusion that the money is real.
