Because you hardly find any literalists among them. Even amongst their priesthood. I always keep saying, catholic priests may be dangerous on an individual level, evangelicals are a danger for civilization. You really shouldn't invite catholic priests to babysit, but you can let them supervise a nuclear missile compound. With evangelical pastors I wouldn't be so sure, with all their end times porn.
