Bloody miracles from a bloody cult.
#12
RE: Bloody miracles from a bloody cult.
I've always found such miracles to be somewhat creepy. There is some of the same stuff in Orthodox Christianity, too and it has always creeped me out a little how believers flock to churches and stand in long lines to see relics such as severed body parts, blood, nails and so on. And all these micarles (holy fire etc.) remind of some primordal shamanistic blood rituals. And I'm not mentioning weird rituals such as exorcism that is still being practiced more or less worldwide. While philosophical aspects are sometimes interesting to discuss these 'lower manifestations' of religion alongside with religious wars and anomosity have always been extremely alien to me.
