I haven't spoken with the family yet and my wife is pushing me to shut up because she's afraid that our daughter will be ostracized and bullied because she's in such the minority with so many hateful christians around here.
I'm taking my time to think about it and decide my next move.
You could use this as an opportunity. Read Genesis to her and point out how crazy and cruel the god in that book actually is. She is going to be hearing how loving this god is her entire life so she might as well know what Christians mean by the word, loving. Reading other cultures' mythologies could help her see that there is nothing special about the bible's stories.
