Either way, he has managed to completely derail the conversation. My bet as to what question made him so uncomfortable is that it was the one about his kids.

It is that whole bit of "saving" children from hell. He put himself into position in saying the party that attacked Brakeman's child with religion was in the right when it was the complete opposite. Because you just don't proselytize to someone else's child you just don't. So when he really couldn't defend his position on that he derailed the thread.
