Wow only just noticed that. I'm interested to know, where on Earth did you get that statistic about Native Brits only makes up less than 50% of the Uk's population? That's way out, as abaris promptly found out.
I also disagree with the claim that the UK will be 90% Islamic in future. A lot of children born to Muslim immigrant parents in this country tend to either practice a very soft secular Islam or leave the religion altogether (essentially being Muslim in name only, parallel to how most modern British "Christians" are). It's only the first generation immigrants and a fairly small minority of British-born Muslims who actually take it that seriously.
Then there's also the growing right-wing groups, the working class white British men (who in my view are just as bad as the fundie Muslims) who are getting angry with the system and blaming it on the immigrants. I'm working class and white but I come from an immigrant family myself, so I've kind of seen this issue from both sides. I've been the working class white male and the "inavding immigrant" depending on who is looking at me and depending on the context. It's actually quite a (perversely) privileged position to be in I think, because you can understand almost everyone in society and see it all for what it really is. No immigrants in the UK are getting any special treatment that they are not entitled to, the problems of the working class do not come directly from immigration. It comes from a decline in industry, brought on by large companies taking the blue collar jobs abroad because it's cheaper. With the blue collar jobs that remain, there's an attitude among the working class of being too proud to take them (so they are left to the immigrants because the native population don't want them).
It makes me laugh. These working class white men trash-talking the black and Asian students who have worked hard to get into university. What makes you think you're so qualified to do the course they are doing, when you can't even be bothered to get off your ass and get down the job centre? Pathetic.
