Quote:First of all where is in the bible said that we should not take its words literal? Or where did you get this authority?
There used to be some song and one of the lines went this, 'I am happy and gay.' This song was sung at church. Does this mean that the people were singing it were all homosexuals? or should we understand the context?
Taking the Bible as litteral, in its entirety, is insane. Read revelations, you surely dont take that as litteral?
Quote:Second, Why god sent something that much vague to people? Didn't he knew that people "might" misunderstood him for 2000 years (and counting for some)?
Your point?
Quote:Third, why did he send it as figure of speech? We are capable of(and better at) understanding literal commands either. Wouldn't it be more effective? Did god likes mind games?Meanings change, theology and culture changes...
Quote:Fourth, what will happen to people (like me) who would get the wrong message?John 8:32
Quote:Sixth, Is hell illiteral too? What will happen to innocent unbelievers? Are they going to be tortured enternally?
Hell is metaphoric for the destruction of the wicked, unbelievers will get to heaven and I strongly believe it. Its not what you know, but who you know!

Its ok to have doubt, just dont let that doubt become the answers.
You dont hate God, you hate the church game.
"God is not what you imagine or what you think you understand. If you understand you have failed." Saint Augustine
Your mind works very simply: you are either trying to find out what are God's laws in order to follow them; or you are trying to outsmart Him. -Martin H. Fischer
