Is this the whole story? Because as I look at it the case for a custody hearing looks very weak for your relatives.
If your kid has a loving parent, food on the table, clothes to wear, a roof over his head, and gets a proper education, there is nothing your family can base its claim on that you are supposed to be unfit as a parent. Contacting the ACLU might be a good thing. I don't know if there is an atheist group in your area that you could contact (but it being Vegas I'd be surprised if there wasn't)?
I don't really have any advice to give, I'm not a parent and my family may be religious but they are not pulling shit like that on non-believer relatives.
