Yes but...
1) The idea of what god is isn't static.
2) Ideas can only exist in the minds of living human beings, so the idea of what god is can't be verifiably "passed down" accurately from previous generations
3) Scripture can be interpreted by every generation to match their idea of what a supernatural god could be.
4) Belief means you assert something that seems to be true even though objective evidence is lacking.
5) All evidence for anything is lacking something since we can never take an objective position about anything, we can only pretend to be objective, our position is invariably subjective
6) The best test of whether a belief is sound can't be the evidence for it, only how consistent is the internal rationale of the belief.
