There is no general statement you can say about atheists, other than they are atheists. Not so for Satanists, they are making clear their philosophy.
The only thing that sets them apart that I've heard thus far is "they're a group", when it can easily be argued that atheists are a group as well.
Atheism isn't a philosophy or a belief system. It's a lack of belief in deities. That's it. LaVeyan Satanism is a philosophy and a belief system that happens to contain atheists. How is this so difficult to grasp?
